Last day in San Sebastien….sad….

This has to be one of my favourite places so far in our travels.  I love having coffee and croissant in the morning, beach and vino in the afternoon, a nap, vino, dinner, and more vino.  People of all ages love the beach.  We have seen elderly people walking with canes going down the sand and into the water.  We stopped for vino before we went down to the beach and all you see are older women and men coming and going from the beach having their daily swim.  They change right on the beach, no worries for who is watching, all they are concerned about is their time in the water.  They are fit and I envy their determination to be out and about everyday.  This is what life is all about.  I love it here so much.  Enjoyment is what I see above all else here.  Their desire to enjoy each and every day.

It is Friday night, and while we don’t have a lot of pictures of the locals, they are all over.  There are hoards of boys and girls swimming every where they can.   The guy with his dog, swimming off the ramp where the rowing guys were yesterday.  It is filled with people, enjoying the sea, and enjoying where they live.  It is the simple things in life that make them happy.  One thing we bring back every time we go away is a slice of who we really want to be when we get home.  This place has made a huge impact after only 3 nights.

Sadly we leave here tomorrow morning with a stop in Segovia and then on to Sevilla.  All inland for a few days.  I will miss you ocean, my constant companion for the last year.

We thought this was creepy.

This is the beach we have been to. If you can imagine that when the tide comes in it goes right up to the wall to the top of the second grey area.

Guys making bubbles in the square.  They had been there since 3 in the afternoon.  We know because we had vino there before we went back for a nap and now it’s 9:30
Our dinner venue...you can't tell but those people are all having dinner at the bar we were just at. It's very popular.
