I don’t know where to begin, as this trip seems so surreal. I feel like someone else is going, someone else is packing, and someone else is planning. Who is the person that is getting ready to go to Italy? HA HA! It’s me! A trip that has been planned, booked and cancelled 3 times before this is finally…..F I N A L L Y…..here!
We are checked in for our flight…with my name on one ticket and Rick’s on the other, it’s clear that Italy is expecting us. Rail tickets came on Monday, again with our names, more people waiting to see us. Hotel confirmations coming in, more people looking forward to meeting us. So, as to not disappoint, first stop Toronto; then on to Rome.
We plan to be fabulously gracious guests, perhaps a little disorganized and lost, but still, happy…happy. To have this opportunity of time to ourselves, the ability to let our hair down (or spiked up), to relax, and have an adventure. To discover a new place, and most importantly ourselves. It will be good!

Can’t quite believe you’re actually there but the photo’s do look real! Seriously, you’re making me hungry and if you start posting pictures of gelato I’m going to have to stop reading. Can’t help you with the scarf – am a non-chic european! Looks fantastic, amazing, totally brilll – super jealous!!
